what year did Yamaha start offering the YZF-R6 with a quick shifter?

Was thinking about picking up a second R6 because......well because, that seems a good enough reason.

I'd like one with the factory Quickshifter if it works out. What year did they start that silliness?

was kinda thinking that would might be the case. They went with the larger forks that year too I think.

stock or with suspension? The boingers are going to be about $2,500ish. Figure with race body, rear sets & clip ons... $4500ish on top of a stock bike.

sounding like a money pit now...might just ride it around stock and see if it's funner then the other one....and get a quick shifter for the '12
