Let's see it!Opened up my latest build and the other goodies Marc sent with it!! Was in NM this past week and this is a lot of fun. Will post pics if anyone wants to see it. Has a great example of how build sheets are done. Know we have a guy here who calls himself a builder but is a far cry from a top tier Smith.
Haven't needed a tow yet (fingers crossed, it is, after all, a FORD at heart).
Nice!
I bet that cost more than a box of Lucky Charms!
Yeah, that’s really nice. What’s with the spare grip?
Choices man choices! Those grips are made by Marc. I have given him 10 of my big rifle blanks to make grips from. Turkish walnut, and Screwbean Mesquite mostly. Going to send him a few more---one of the other "firearm things" I have collected over the years when a buddy had an importing company that cut them in Turkey and shipped them over to the US. Unfortunately, he sold it close to 10 years ago Luxus Walnut, which now is just a shadow of its former self.Yeah, that’s really nice. What’s with the spare grip?
Keep selling the kids this drug.My daughter’s friend asked me if I could teach her to ride dirt bikes. She said she always see’s my daughter and all her friends having so much fun on dirt bikes and she wants to learn.
Put her in the wife’s gear on the wife’s bike. After a 10 minute garage session of hand eye coordination and some drills of moving your feet and hands to operate all of the bikes inputs she was ready to try 1st gear and clutch/gas combo to get the bike moving.
An hour after we started the kid was feet on the pegs doing figure eights. She was so grateful afterwards. Kid has no idea what she just got herself into! I know…

Little bit like Ruby Falls....only different.
I put a new muffler on my old Duramax Chevy today.
I put these on 1 year ago, when I replaced the cat, muffler and tailpipe. I broke the first one off with the air gun, so I took it easy and broke the other three off by hand with a socket wrenchI put a new muffler on my old Duramax Chevy today.
A small SoCal benefit as it took about twenty minutes with a socket and ratchet.
Nuts, hangars, and clamps came right off after 15 years under the truck.
I remember doing exhaust work when I was a kid in Michigan.
First order of business was a torch.
That sucks! Hazards of living in the Sportsmans Paradise! The combination of heat cycles, moisture and salt take their toll on some metals over time.I put these on 1 year ago, when I replaced the cat, muffler and tailpipe. . Not even rusty by Maine standards, and I fucking hosed them down with penetrating oil before I started. Fucking garbage!
My daughter is supposed to be coming home with some new ones. Doing the pipe between the exhaust manifold and the cat tonight. I should've done it when I did all the rest, but it didn't look terrible. I'm shocked the nuts on the manifold came right off. I tried to pick up spares today in case I had to cut them off, but the place didn't have any. They'll be there waiting for me at the parts store tomorrow morning, but looks like I won't need them.

Yes it is. He's doing well. No longer with Total Seal, but liking the new gig.Is that Ed in the pic from 16 years ago? How's he doing?
Nice chopper too!And holy fucking shit, what a great day. Went up with Chris Dillon of Dillon Aero. We hit three different landing zones north of Scottsdale, around Horseshoe and Bartlett lakes. Shot a ton of pics and and I personally enjoyed the fuck out of flying in a helo with open doors, just cruising through valleys and over mountains. Truly an amazing experience which has left me feeling about as good as a human can feel. Pics soon.
Totally different, yet in this particular situation, just as satisfying. It sounds like the sensation we get from riding Motorcycles, just with much better results.![]()
Once we were out and about, Chris Dillon said over the comm "We should come back with the 407". Yeah, there's that and another chopper in the hangar, along with a pair of T-33s and some Swedish trainer.Nice chopper too!
