My view yesterday morning, with coffee.
Great weekend getaway at a good friend's place.

Adjustments to a boat coming out of long term storage but we didn't launch it as it was/is still a bit cool for boating.

Massive ribeyes 1.5 inches thick were grilled, eaten and enjoyed.
Sadly no images of the food.
Everyone was starving and had no time to take pictures.

We stopped for sushi on the way home.

Big storm yesterday and last night. Lost power in the early evening, and then started off my morning like this. :frown2:

That power pole isn't involved, It's a bracing pole leaned up against another one. Luckily my father-in-law was out plowing nearby and gave me a quick tug out.

Weather moderated finally. Pouring 1/3 barn slab tomorrow. 2 day lull, then more fucking rain.

I just got finished with repairs on the old golf-cart charger and it's working well so far.

I'll check back later to see if it's caught fire or something.

Before:

132150

132151

Note the burn mark on the insulating cardboard where the power timer contacts were arcing as well as the lack of insulation.

After:

132153

New power cable and ends installed.

132154

Power timer contacts dressed.

Needed to go once it was done so, no buttoned up shot but, I may take a picture of the reassembled unit...

...or the fire damage, later today.

Edit: I did clean the diode and heatsink, then applied new layer of thermal compound, while I was in there as well.

Moved the cows out of stalls, they were grass hungry and plenty wound up. Izzy played crack the whip with me on a long lead.

Buying cows started the month in 10th place on the dumbest things I've done list, moved up to 8th place, and holding. The absolute joy and comic relief watching a week old calf frolicking saved the day.

Rushing to the shitter, blasting mud, patting my ass dry, drinking another glass of putrid stuff, repeat.
By morning I thought I was empty, was gonna take an Uber to the colonoscopy clinic

Suddenly all hell REALLY STARTED TO BREAK LOOSE...this was an hour before I was to check in

Cancelled the Uber and drove myself...probably the most white knuckle drive ever

Good luck

Hell yeah man!! Tell us about it, what do you like/dislike?
The 3rd gen is a great bike, IMO. I had my 2022 for over a year. I saw the all black '23 in person, and felt it was meant to be as it matches my hot rod all black 2002 SE. There is a bit of metallic flake in the '23 paint, whereas the '02 is just gloss black. Supposedly the '23's are not part of the front brake master cylinder recall. Not that that's a big deal, I just liked the color better. :)

Likes: The bi-directional quickshifter works great, the brakes work great. With cruise control, I consider it a fast touring bike.

Dislikes: I think it should come with the hump. I had the parts guy order one.

As an added bonus, I get to give myself an enema in the morning. Maybe I’ll use this squeaky clean butthole to make some money in gay porn.

What’s your opinion of this bike?
RF
Big and heavy, I guess it has decent power for a 1200 twin, had it up over a ton pretty quickly. The engine sounds a bit clanky, mechanical. At least the injectors and four spark plugs are pretty easy to get to. Getting the valve cover off looks like it would be a bitch. Did I mention it is big and heavy? I'll snap a pic of all the shit under the right front fairing side. It has one oddly placed radiator, I don't know how it would do in 100 degree plus weather.

Just finished machining these parts for Vorton The Space Gods spaceship. He said he’s going to AZ to give a colonoscopy to a giant hairy beast of man and then off to Florida.
