Being an idiot....

Need to install a 200ah battery in the toyhauler (some moving of cables are involved).

So I made reservations at a cabin in Utah to head up for the weekend.

Pulled the RZR out and was jockying trailers around and then it dawned on me...

I signed up for a fucking shift a couple weeks ago for tomorrow evening....DOH!!!

The woman who canceled the reservation was awesome...I didn't lose my deposit..

At least the shift is a standby for a car show.

I'm meeting a crew there so I'll ride the Triumph.

Hopefully it'll be under 110* when I ride home.

Chasing down 800mg Ibuprofen with water, watching Star Trek:Picard on the laptop, and staring at a Glock holster order a customer canceled after I finished the build. Shouldn't take long to find it a home.

This is one of those times when I feel like I should buy the holster, and then find the gun.

I knocked out 420 miles today. Just got home a little while ago. So right now, I'm just chilling with a gin and tonic. Ran out to Wickenburg, Prescot, then up towards Pine/Strawberry and out to visit 918 Rider and Bonnie. They were camping off Lake Mary Rd. Me and the Busa did some off roading up a shitty dirt road. My leather jacket saved my arm today, but not how you may think.

I rolled into camp and Ryan's two Cane Corso dogs approached. Imagine two rotties on steroids. I know these dogs, but being in full gear, I think, spooked them. The male grabbed on to the jacket and yanked hard. Not only did it tear the leather in those two places, it destroyed the elbow armor and left me with a nice raspberry on my forearm. My fucking hands weren't even off the grips of the Busa yet, when this thing decided I was lunch. And that was it. Once the helmet came off, the dog was cool.

It was great to see Ryan and Bonnie. I was also going to spend some time with MrBuell, who just happened to be camping at the other end of Lake Mary Rd., but I missed the turn for his campground, ended up 15 miles at the other end of the lake, and decided to just blast home.

8:30 still at the shop running parts. Now that I have this job figured out and am not fucking up shit I am making money. Here all weekend…….

Jeff keeps telling me I need more jobs like this as this isn’t normal, I should probably listen to him more often. He seems to know what he’s talking about when he’s not talking about slicks, lap times, passing slow motherfuckers on one wheel, chicks in leather suits with pony tails and buying another motorcycle

Sitting here waiting for a new oxygen machine to be dropped off and watching a video on changing airbags on a Grand MarquisView attachment 76088
Holy shit that brings back memories...

Had a Lincoln '88 LSC that my dad passed down. Not my kind of car but hey, 20 bucks is 20 bucks...

And then the airbag suspension problems started...

Dealing with that was my first introduction to the benefits of avoiding over-engineered messes. Never again...

Woke up early in the hotel, now sitting on the toilet reading this thread. Don't want to post a pic of that, so here's yesterday with the family on a tram heading down the boardwalk at Ocean City, MD.

Did you check out the coil spring conversion??

Think it's cheaper and obviously more durable.
Yep. I saw a few kits out there that look good. This guy has a pair of replacement bags so I will throw them in for now. This car will be going to Detroit so If there is any money left I will swap them out for low tech springs and just say fuck the bag suspension.

A friend of my Mom's had one of those new back when I was in high school, and I thought it was about the coolest car around. Asked a million times if I could take it for a spin, and she always said no. :)
