I shot in the "PRG Wed Night Steel" match last night at Prado Olympic Shooting Park in Chino CA. I was shooting my 627 revo against semi auto handguns, PCC "pistol caliber carbine's", .22 rifles, .22 handguns, guys with optics, and one other guy shooting a 929 revo.

The best thing I can say is, well at least I didn't come in last place :)

This is a VERY basic pistol match, perfect for beginners. No movement, no reloading.

Four stages of steel, each pretty much the same. Four eight inch round steel plates, with one half size USPSA steel target.

Surrender piston, engage the four round steel plates with one shot each, then engage the USPSA target with one shot (five shots). Do this four separate times. Four strings of five rounds each.

Well, sometimes I needed six or seven rounds :) (shoot until you hit the steel).

Move to the next stage, do the exact same thing. It was fun, and everybody was friendly.

If you're looking for a fun match to start out with, this is the place.

Couldn't this have gone into your last thread about the exact same topic?

You could even put [UPDATE] and (with new photos).

Just one long thread of all your shooting adventures.
