This is what YouTube is best for, keeping shows like this alive for new generations. Watching so many A-list classic bands play live and to hear the musicianship back then (1973 - 1979). Nothing processed, just talent. I did notice that around late '79-early 80 groups started lip syncing and playing with backing tracks.

Trivia time...ELO had the most appearances on the show at 4.

I only got to watch it a few times before I left the country for military service in'74, and when I got back...I worked afternoon and midnight shift jobs until '83.

Glad it's on YT....I've already watched a few over the last couple of years.
