OK experts. Over here we get lots of conflicting info regarding how well your current POTUS is doing.

So I thought I would cut through the crap and fluff and ask here what improvements have been made under his leadership? If you could tell me how Trump policies have positively or negatively impacted you, without bringing emotion or plain slagging off into it that would be cool.

Thank you...

He's doing very well. Haven't you heard? He really tries to keep campaign promises too despite all efforts by loser liberal socialist communists to pull off two coups since Nov. 2016. Unemployment is lowest ever, especially for minorities. Hopefully he'll be appointing more SCOTUS judges soon. I'm paying less taxes and my retirement account is blooming nicely.

tax cuts are incredible to anyone who actually pays taxes...

no more obamacare penalty...

unemployment at record lows

stock market at record highs...

can you name a measurable metric that is used to judge the performance of a president that he is not currently meeting or exceeding?

Don't forget that border crossings and illegal immigration are down significantly.

International trade is moving in the US's favor with much better trade deals struck with Canada and Mexico, and China being put in check.

And the icing on the cake is that America's stock in the world is on the rise again, instead of the decline it was on under Bush's last term and both of Obama's terms.

Perceivable confidence goes a long way, even if it cant be measured. I'd say that's a positive metric. People "feel" like things are going in the right direction. Fuck if I know if they actually are, but there's a sense of regaining lost ground in terms of our ability to prosper.

More money in my pocket, with his generous new deduction.

Employer is offering bonuses to keep people since competing companies are dying for workers and are offering increased wages.

I can't recall if any of his judges have struck down any potential gun grabbing legislation or not. But I believe his revamping the 9th has been beneficial to that circuit.

Trump had an effect on me personally by bringing back the real estate market.

Prior to Trump you could have a spec house built, for sale and not be able to find a bank that would give a loan to a qualified buyer (great credit score, long time on the job, good chunk of money down)
Post Trump, banks are lending to qualified buyers, homes are selling, the real estate market has a "feel good vibe" that stimulates its growth, which is right around the same where it was when the bottom fell out.

Trump is doing economic miracles and everyone's profiting...

Yes, but has that impacted YOU in a - or + way?
Yes, it has and very +ve. It impacts everyone with retirement/pensions/savings because often those funds are vested in the stock market

And I'm not taking Anal's bait about correlating POTUS performance with the stock market

The market is forward looking, a very fundamental oversight of many. Current valuations are less reflective of 'what has happened' and more so 'what will probably happen'

If the street disapproves of leadership, that sentiment is reflected in the DOW, NASDAQ, S&P, etc.

Dems are spending so much time fucking with the Trump that he is probably on the defense too much to do anything more productive.
Not quite a wasted four years. But it could have been more productive had the dems not been so insane.

I think overall consumer confidence is up quite a bit. Also the feeling that Trump is trying to keep promises and put America first when dealing with foreign policy and trade deals. The fact that the Communists are constantly gnashing their teeth and doing their best to be as biased as possible only bodes well for his reelection.

He's a great big feel good fuck-off President, and that pleases me.

He's not a politician and some folks keep expecting him to behave like one.
Please remember, we did not ELECT a politician.
We elected a thug to get in there and straighten some shit out.
I just said "thug" I hope I'm not a racist now.

Investments are up hugely.
Economy is doing great.
His wife and daughter are very pleasing to the eyes.
Every single thing he does, good, bad, typo on Twitter, signing to some bill/act, etc... sends the lemmings on the left into complete rage and that pleases me too.

Nice dig on foreigners
i dont want to put words in tommy1's mouth...

a foreigner who follows the rules like my dad who was born in Italy and came here legally is as American as anyone, because he wants to be... and follows the rules... ( for the most part )

plenty just come here because the streets are paved with gold and they can make bucks by hook or by crook living under the radar or using forged papers or just get their ass to a sanctuary city.

is overrated
Almost every day I wake up and Our President has done or said something that makes me laugh out loud or the reactions by others responding makes me do so.
At the very least, I get a good grin from his actions daily.

The personal good he's done me is in how I'm being treated at the VA.
The attitude of the workers and doctors there seem much more focused on doing what they can to help.
I've probably had 7 or 10 appointments in the past two months...
...I've lost count.

The bad part is that they had me jumping through hoops to get narcotics and
took too long to just come out and say they wanted me to stop taking the drugs
that they had been giving me for the last 16+ years.

The new medications are still being evaluated and although my attitude is up, I'm still hurting, just not all over.
The procedure they did this past Tuesday has me feeling like my lower back has been worked over with a fish bat.
We'll see whether we did some good once the inflammation recedes in another week or so.

The irony is that they told me I could take some of the narcotics I have if I needed to.
I told them it wasn't likely as I could tolerate a booze hangover better than the one I get from the pills.
Not interested in going through withdrawals from the narcotics, again.

So, it's been a mixed reaction to what President Trump has done for me directly but, I'm still very happy he's the one in charge.

And the hardworking, legal immigrants that dislike Trump? According to tommy1, those people don't exist - you're either a legal immigrant who loves America and Trump and pays their taxes, or if you dislike Trump, it's because you're an illegal alien.

My dad's side was from Belgium/ germany, mom's side Scandinavian/French. . They all came in the right way and started farming. Paid taxes, built relationships.

I dont think any conservative has a problem with legal immigrants.

In case this type of news doesn't reach your shores:

BREAKING NEWS: ECONOMY ADDS 225,000 NEW JOBS IN JANUARY, FAR EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS
The economy added 225,000 news jobs in January, 50% more than economists had been expecting.
Developing story...
I presume the Left will spin that it's just everyone taking on their third or fourth job to survive.

THE GOOD:

Economy
Unemployment
Ended our enrollment in the Paris Agreement
Ended our participation in the Iranian Nuclear deal
Immigration policy shake up/Border control
Calling out China for their shit
Bringing discussion on things no other President has
His irreverence
Following thru on some of his campaign promises

THE BAD:

His sucking of Israel’s cock
Claiming Jerusalem as Israel’s capital
The Greatest Deal of the Century
His stance on prayer in school
Sending more troops to that shit hole (M.E.)
His family holding positions in his administration
Giving even more of our cash to the Military
His inability to be humble
His rich kid demeanor
NOT following thru on some of his campaign promises

Well composed (mostly)

The item I'm calling out is "Sending more troops to that shit hole (M.E.)"

Is that true? Has the NET troop deployment over there increased? Coz I would've guessed the opposite

I'm wary of binging it cuz there could be a lot of spins of what constitutes being stationed in the M.E.

Thank you...

Oh I have no idea if it has increased or decreased. In retrospect, I should have said:

His continuing of keeping our military in the Middle East tradition going.

Or something like that.

Just curious, and not attacking your point in any way as I mostly agree that we shouldn't involve ourselves further in the shithole called the middle east, but what do you think would happen if the U.S. were to just simply pull up stakes and exit the ME theater, militarily?

Local impact? Global impact? In the near term? 10-20 years out? Do you think it would help improve the area? Do you think the world would be a safer place? The global economy? National security here and abroad?
