Started a couple of seasons ago, haven't caught any chatter about it here... only a half-dozen episodes in, but decent sci-fi so far. It's running on Amazon Video.

I don't usually sit still long enough watch much TV- it took me a decade to catch on that The Wire was fucking awesome :retard: - but this is good for moderate binge-watching.

is overrated
I watched the first season back when I still had satellite.

It did seem to be well written.

If it's the one I'm thinking of...
...several classes of people living mining in space?
Colonies on Earth, Mars...etc?

I planned on catching up when it was on DVD.

I loved Caprica but, they cancelled that in the middle of the first season for unknown reasons.

I'm caught up on it and waiting for the next season.
It's some of the best space-related SciFi I've ever watched.
Lots of violence and interesting scifi scenarios.
Good graphics.
Half decent acting.
Character casting coulda been a little better.
The crazy cop and the white soldier dude were great.
The Cowboy Pakistani guy is awesome.
The rest are just "okay".
Btw, the cowboy pakistani actually stole his character from a REALLY awful SciFi show that only lasted four episodes.
I'll try to find it for you.

Mr Cunt, isn't that the name of a guy from before the board crash like 18 years ago and the current board.
He was an ass who flamed out badly.

Is it as good as breaking bad? That’s the only one I ever watched and we binged watched it after the series was finished. I thought it was quite good.

You know, if you pretend it's not at all about Star Trek (which it isn't) then the new CBS Star Trek is actually pretty decent.
And there are Klingon nipples. And cuss words.
It's an abomination. But a pretty well done one.
Oh yeah, there is homosexuality too. Kissing stuff. ugh

Another dark, fast & hard sci-fi series.

I did the same thing. After the final episode, I decided to see what all the fuss was about for all those years, and watched the first one. Got sucked right in.

if i watch breaking bad, itll be the fan made 2 hour movie that fans admit tell the story and leave out the unnecessary shit.

too many shows recently (walking dead im looking at you) spend a bunch of money on the first episode of the season, the last episode, and mayyyybe an episode in the middle. then to save money the rest of the eps are just characters giving long speeches to each other.

rick talks to darryl 10 minutes.
rick talks to carl 10 minutes.
morgan talks to darryl 10 minutes.
carl talks to morgan 10 minutes. That's an episode.

dexter was an exception, maybe they had a bigger budget. longmire also kept it moving.

looking forward to checking out The Expanse.

A good TV series is like a good book- it's not just about the plot, but about character development (even of minor characters). Narrative exposition is what makes 'Game of Thrones' so great, and it also added to BB (though of course it could drag at times- with 62 episodes there were over 50 hours of filming- it's difficult to keep them all riveting, but the writers did a damned good job of it).

I totally agree.
And it's why I think some TV shows are great the first season.
Then I just lose interest after that.

With my Aphantasia, it's easy for me to re-watch favorite TV shows after a few years and it's like they are all new for me again.
I'll remember the gist of an episode sometime but most of it is like I've never seen it before.
Same with books but I gave up on those when my eyes went bad about ten years ago.

Some shows these days are getting really good about plot twists and continuing the show even though it sucks otherwise.
The 100 is one of those. Every time I think I'm done with it, some new weird shit happens and I'm back into it again.
Otherwise, I don't recommend The 100. It's just a so-so show for someone jonesing for SciFi.
But the point is, plot writers are getting pretty good these days.

to me some of the indian actors were just as intriguing as longmire,. if not more.

obviously everyone is going to like standing bear. but i thought nighthorse, mathias, and malachai were nicely written and the actors did a great job.

the dullest people were in it the most, the deputies!

I hate to say it, because NCIS is such a pedestrian show but this season's writing has gone up a couple notches. Sick of McGee though. Be nice if they brought back ziva.

Dude, she dead.
:(

Longmire has no right to be as interesting as it is.
It should be the most boring show ever.
I dunno why it's somehow really interesting.

Now that you mention it, ziva being dead things a bell. Sacrificed herself. Or died in a shootout. I can't remember.

The blonde is boring as shit though.

Already told my girl to queue up expense for next week. Should be able to get all caught up on ncis by then.

I thought she fit in pretty nice & quickly.
Maybe a little boring.
Kinda a mans body.
But she's cute and I like her well enough.
Honestly though, I haven't seen any episodes yet without DiNoseOh.
He brought the only laughs to the show, IMO. If the season is done I'll check it out.
Don't have high hopes though.
And no I don't plan to give DiNox's new TV show a chance. That sounds boring. Lawyer shows. ugh.

The Expanse returns tonight at 9pm EST..
Good to know.
I'll wait till the season is done and then burn through it in a couple few days.

I'm trying to not start watching any new TV shows unless it's completed its run and I can do all seasons at once.
Watching "Continuum" right now. It's okay. The star is a babe.

Finished watching "Misfits" from Brittain a few weeks ago.
It's like "Heroes" but with tits and ass and better acting and way funnier.

i really liked Continuum. It has a decent storyline.

And yes Kiera Cameron is a babe.

When Carlos comes in the show gets a little better, they do a good job writing for his part.

And for the bad guys, I was definitely a fan of Garza. She didn't give a fuck!

very blade runnerish...and some pretty good production levels/effects as well.

didnt care for the ending, but certainly a unique storyline!

Carlos was part of the show from day 1?
Yeah Garza is a hot little blonde ninja bad bitch.
I just saw the episode last night where she was a prostitute.
I'm only on season two so far.

maybe carlos was more background in the beginning? at some point he gets more screentime for the rest of the series.

spoiler alert: you never get to see cameron naked :)

speaking of, the way Ortega's shirt (altered carbon) was barely containing those big tits of hers I was quite pleased when she finally gets them out in the bathtub scene :)

I believe they are planning on a season 2 but not sure if kovacs character will be in it.

I just google searched Rachel Nichols nude and brought it up on the screen before remembering I'm outside in my garage and anyone outside can see.

Yeah, there is no full frontal that I've seen so far.

Misfits has that if you want it.
I really recommend it but it's only for someone who can handle that type of humor and show.

The Expanse got dropped by SciFi and picked up by Amazon.
So it looks like season 4 will be Amazon produced.

Season 3 is now available to stream on Amazon and so far, I'm liking it a LOT better than season 2.

Action/adventure SciFi.

Reading the books now, as time permits. Honestly, I thought that Season 3 had needless side-story chaff in spots (dunno how far into it you are, don't want to spoil plot) but bought it months ago so I could see the story through to the end. I would fuck that chick who plays Drummer in a heartbeat

It'll be interesting to see where it might progress to as a fourth season, and how much of the cast comes forward.

Funny, I thought Season 2 was the one that was too slow.

Drummer is a little scary looking.
