None of your fucking business...
Yeah that one. It shoots out a very big bullet apparently. Is there a hand gun that shoots out the same sized bullet? If not, why not?

They should make one...

Uh, no.

Your ossified wrist bones would be permanently damaged, forever.

Just shoot a 3" chambered foster slug from a sawed off 12 gauge and call it good.

A Barratt?

You fucking euroweenie: its Barrett. Your socialist countrymen make something called an AS50 but its inferior, as per usual.

His muzzle discipline sucks.
Good thing the old timer told him not to cock it yet.

A buddy had one of those .50 Desert Eagles. That was fun a couple times.

Fast Eddie's gave away a new Camaro for their anniversary.
Every bartender & waitress was pimping out the give-away on their facebook pages.
And every single one of them spelled it "Camero".
ugh

not sure why they fired so close? Wouldnt you want the bullet to reach max velocity instead of firing into a dirt pile? Wouldnt you want to see it punch a hole in something hard like concrete?
Then compare its velocity to a long gun fired round?

Looked like .50 BMG cartridge to me, but with a flat nose bullet. Most likely hand loaded with much less powder than a full load.
That's a good point, wrt the hand load. The cartridge was a BMG for sure. Pretty sure the Desert Eagle .50 is a much shorter cartridge and smooth, no taper.

..if you ever find your way to the east coast we will teach you how to actually shoot and find some nice big guns for you to shoot as well...we won't start with those...

...eventually we could try you out on a six inch Model 29 (Dirty Harry gun) and maybe even find a .500 Magnum for you to try if you like the 29...

Bullets reach maximum velocity as they exit the muzzle. They begin decelerating immediately afterwards.

I once shot a 45-70 Derringer. Someone may as well have just taken a baseball bat and hit me in the palm of my hand.

Well, that answered the original question.

I must admit I was expecting a lot more fire out of the muzzle.
I have fired a .50 BMG rifle with full power 750gr loads. That was NOT a full power load or a 750 gr bullet lol.

I hear you.

Some time back I posted a thread about one of our local manufacturers that I got a chance to put some rounds downrange. That muzzle blast was insane, the recoil was surprisingly subdued and very easy to manage.

Sounds like it had a brake on it

The cartridge requires barrel length which wouldn't be practical for a handgun.

(Had a carbon-15, 7" bbl and chono'd at 2200 fps, instead of over 3000fps for typical ARs. About half of the powder's energy became its report.)

Yeah, channels a lot of force to the right and left instead of back into you shoulder.

Less blast out front means a clearer, faster second shot.
.
Oops, muzzle brake. Now I get it... should have said 'blitz breeker' for us Africans

I was thinking some clever engineering attachment inside the stock other than just a strong spring
