Damn, I've always got a boner for that bike.
The idea was similar performance, with as close to stock looks as possible. Right down to keeping the stock reflectors. It wasn't intended to be an ultimate topspeed bike, but a faster 'Busa that also stopped and turned better. A bit of a sleeper. With respect to Chris (Sleeperbusa)
.
Rad's 'Busa looked more conventional, until it got that Roush bodywork.106393

Had a pleasure of sharing track with Rad when he set a track (Grattan, MI) record on his Busa. We were just doing laps. I was executing an inside pass at the end of front straight, heavy on the braking getting way deeper than I was comfortable, wondering if I'm going to make it. This is when I heard Rad's busa passing both of us on the inside still at full throttle leaving a dark tire streak heading for the apex. It was a perfect front seat experience.

I spent a lot of time riding on GMR before around 2011.
We had a kind of breakfast club on Sunday's at the Mount Baldy Lodge. Think my favorite was the 'Skiers Special'
Part of that time on this black SV1K.

Me too, I left Glendora in 08. I rode GMR As much as possible as well as Azusa canyon road. Azusa is a fast road on some parts!

One of the best roads in America.
