I called the local gun range that Lurch goes to.
They quoted me $66 out the door for an Anderson lower.
So, I rode over there today while doing errands.
I get there and it's actually $67 + tax.
Stupid fucker on the phone doesn't seem to understand the concept of "out the door".

It wasn't a bad price, but I was mad and left empty handed.

Searched the net and found blem Aero's for $77 shipped, including tax.
It'll be another $15 for local FFL.

Worth it for $18 extra?

As far as I can tell, the only difference is better quality machining.

Nice thread with pics of the differences:
Weird how the board posts the entire thread instead of a simple link.

Huge difference in machining where the mags go.
I bet it's easier to slip a magazine into that Aero with the huge bevel giving you a wider area to slide into.

im happy with every one of my aero lowers....ill usually buy them when they have them on sale or offer blemishes for 99 bucks.

I built my latest AR15 on a Aero M4E1 and couldn't be happier. They've even changed the bolt catch pin setup to make it way easier to assemble.

Also:

I mean, jeezus, a single full magazine of .223/5.56 costs almost as much as the difference in price between those lowers.

Geez, okay guys :)

I found an M4E1 "blem" for $100 shipped including taxes.
Sent a text to the two cheapest FFL in my area, just waiting on them to respond.

This really needs to stop being so expensive.
Lower order placed for ME41 blem.

The FFL will get his $15, so $114 altogether.

This company doesn't charge sales tax and also gives free shipping on orders over $90.

In case anyone is interested, the non-blemished was only $7 more.

...don't cheap out on the ammo...I canceled the 62 grain penetrator stuff...I don't even want to mess around with inaccurate ammunition...it is a waste of everything...

...maybe for a drunken vioparty but not much else...I suppose it would be the go to load for shooting up cars...

...I saw .50 per round and thought great...!!!...then I remembered wtf SS109/M885 is...maybe the cheap Nosler stuff isn't "surplus" (2eds) from some military contract that won't shoot into 4 MOA...

...I would want that load for a machine gun maybe...

...I traded it in on another 100 rounds of Federal 77 grn Gold Medal...hopefully the PSA barrel can exploit it...

from the website

"
This product is blemished. Blemishes may include:
  • Plating inconsistencies
  • Pits
  • Scratches
  • Dents
  • Flaws in finish

Our blemished products are fully functional, they just didn't meet our high standards. They are a great product at a discounted price for someone who doesn't mind a slight imperfection. We do not accept returns on blemished products. "

I keep expecting an email from PSA with tracking / shipping info.
I get emails from them every day, but just ads. Tempting ads.
.
Same here, but I know they're good for it. They're probably backed up big time. I got my order in just before the shooting, and they're seemed to be plenty of deals "in stock". Now, when you look through their deals, not so much in stock anymore.

I'm tempted to order another couple of thousand rounds of .308, 5.56, 9mm, and .45ACP. What I really want/need is .357 mag but they're still Unicorn-like in availability and pricing. 😕

I've read that PSA can take a couple weeks to ship sometimes.
I knew that going into this, so I'm not going to be angry.

And now they have that red banner up, talking about "expect slow shipping times thanks to fucking Washington state".
I'm paraphrasing.

Due to recent demand we are delivering 6-8 tractor trailer loads per day to the UPS hub. UPS is behind on unloading and scanning the packages. You will get a location update as soon as it is scanned.

Find the brass and other components. Come on down to Phoenix when the weather cools off. We'll make ammo.

Wow. That's a lot of guns & ammo & parts every day.
I'm surprised their prices haven't already gone up to compensate.

I'm still waiting for the refund on my card for that first order that I cancelled.
Been a week already.
Once it hits ten days I'll give them a call about it.

edit:
as soon as I mention it here, the very next morning I see the credit on my card.
most of it anyways. they only refunded $10 of my lower purchase so far? might still be in transition.

Whoopi was pretty great back in the day until she decided to push her political & social agendas onto everyone else.

Another couple of sales sites:

She was fairly conservative until she supported Ted Danson for wearing blackface. Then her peeps jumped on her and she suddenly became left wing.

Those would have appealed to me back in my boyhood BMX days when everything on the bicycle had to have fancy anodized colors.
And stickers that shimmered.
