(shamelessly stolen from book of faces)
A hundred and twelve years ago, in 1907...our great grandparents were first able to buy the rifle pictured. The semi-auto Winchester Model 1907.
This is a gun they could buy from a Sears catalogue and have delivered via US Post. It was/ is a semi-automatic, high powered centerfire rifle, with detachable, high capacity magazine.
About 400,000 semi-automatic rifles were produced before WW2. Civilians had hundreds of thousands of these for 40 years, while US soldiers were still being issued old fashioned bolt action rifles.
The 1907 fired just as fast as an AR15 or AK47 and the bullet (.351 Winchester) was actually larger than those fired by the more modern looking weapons..
The ONLY functional difference between the 1907 and a controversial and much feared AR15 is the modern black plastic stock.

The semi auto, so-called "assault rifle" is 110 years old. It isnt new in any way.
The semi auto rifle was not a weapon of war. The government MADE IT a weapon of war 40 years after civilians had them.
The semi-auto can be safely owned by civilians. The proof is that literally 3 generations of adults owned and used them responsibly and no one ever even noticed.
Want to fix the horror of mass shootings? Fix the things that have changed for the worse in the last 50 years. Family Values, Prayer from Schools, Ten Commandments from court houses, Spanking Kids, Morals, What is socially acceptable, Confusion on Genders, Left Wing Liberalism, Socialism, ect.

Cause the rifle technology in question was here long before this insanity. GOD SAVE THE USA.

Yesterday they had this and a stripped lower for $399 + tax (free shipping).
Everything you need except a rear sight and a magazine.
I think it's the absolute cheapest deal/combo possible right now, at least from PSA.

If anyone's interested in an AR style rifle before they get banned but doesn't want to spend $$ right now, then maybe just buy the "lower" assembly which is the only part of the entire rifle that's classified as a weapon (it's the trigger area).
An AR15 stripped lower can be had for $50. They ship it to your local gun shop. You give the gun shop $15 and your ID and then you're done (if I understand it all correct).

That's going to be changing soon. Bet on it. The ATF has already been discussing reclassifying the upper receiver as a "weapon" as well, which would require it to be serialized and listed on a 4473 when purchased.

What are they worth ? I have a brand new Bushmaster. Never used.
don’t see a point in having it. Not trying to sell it though
IDK? Part of the appeal of the AR is that you can get a brand new one from a well-regarded MFG for under $500.
But the really nice ones can go way beyond that.
A brief Google search indicates Bushmaster are some of the higher end versions and would be more expensive.

I bought the $350 PSA that I posted earlier but then I cancelled the order the next day.
I should be putting that money into my Bronco instead.
I might be tempted by a "too good to be true" deal though.

Just because I'm worried that if I don't get one now, they may go through the roof price-wise soon.

Im not sure anyone realistically wants a full size rifle in 9mm (or at least I dont see the point in one)....they sure are fun toys though!

sig makes some fantastic 9mm rifle-pistols.... cz skorpion is also outstanding.

guess you are stuck with the retarded bullshit cali-compliant stuff though, so im guessing all of those are out.

Bushmaster is not regarded as high end, not in my opinion.

$350 for an AR? Get the fuck outta here. Not trying to be a dick here, but spend a bit more money to get a better rifle.

If it doesn't go bang every time, it isn't worth anything to me.

Just get a Colt and be done fucking around.

Or not. And don't an M4, get a full size AR.

But it doesn't sound like you can afford it?

That silenced high end sniper rifle chambered in 300 black out has my attention. $5k

Couldn't find the video that was posted here....

Pra, it makes no sense to have an AR that you've never fired, it's like having a trophy wife you never fuck.

When I see that mfg name, my first thought is "WalMart gun" from way back in the day.
But I googled it and it's got a nice rep for AR's.
And to be clear, I didn't say "high end", I said "higher end", as in higher end than the PSA I was talking about.
I could absolutely be wrong though.

trophy wife :D

What are good websites to find used AR's and other rifles for sale?

Calguns is one I've heard mention of.

I'll take a new one from a reputable dealer any day. Too many "gunsmiths" out there swapping out cheap parts into great rifles and / or lowers.

Try out an Anderson and even some PSA's. I've had good luck with both multiple times. Last few AR rifles I built were mostly Anderson parts.
