Been an Arai user since I got my first one in 1980. In 2015 I decided to upgrade my 2002 Quantum FSS. By this time I needed glasses and Arai didn't offer a helmet with an internal sun visor. After some research, I decided on the Shark Speed R. I was never really happy with the Shark, mainly noise and main visor issues. The Shark relies on friction, not detents, for visor movement and the mechanism would loosen up constantly.
The noise issue biggest problem. I have been mainly riding for short distances since I got it, and I wear earplugs, but when my Wife and I rode together it was a real problem hearing her through our intercoms. Anyway, after more research, I decided on this:

AGV K5 S. So far I love it. Lightest helmet I have ever owned. And so quiet.

My wife and I are doing a California Superbike 2 day school at LS next week. My first school since 2003 with Freddie Spencer, her first school. We are mid sixties. We live in SoCal and have decided to ride up for a last (maybe) long ride. Can't wait
