These kind of rigs are what I‘d call bar hoppers, gas prices are of no concern whilst fillin‘ up....on booze :biggrin1a:

I had a 49 that I gently eased a 429 in that would run a little over 45 if you could hold it on the road. I remember having the factory speedo run out of ink. I still have that speedo too if I can get a pic to load

David, we stayed in Guntersville for a week or so, real nice area, especially for boating.

I had a '55 Chevy truck for awhile. Spacious is a word you will never hear as a description. I do dig that Mercury, and it doesn't seem like outrageous money for it.
