We all survived childhood- I expect her to as well.

A lull in the action. She's saving her hair until it's long enough to cut and make a wig for a kid going through chemo (she decided to do this after watching a cartoon about a kid with cancer- no prompting from me)- that's my girl.

wow, a 21 year old wrote that? reads more like someone with a few more years under their belt.

Tinny will like the 'evil corporations' and environment comments.

El paso is a shit hole. And is very dangerous. My ass puckers driving through - I have a HUGE set of balls and El Paso scares the crap out of me. aint nothing good comes out of that place, Juarez across the fence. Texas can carry. there is no reason for this to go down unchallenged. In an army base town.
Why someone didnt pull a rifle off the rack and load it and get busy is beyond me. they had the right and it remains legal to carry & protect themselves and they chose not to. Im angry all right. i am angry that people made a conscious decision to be a sitting duck. In a group That large there shoulda been no less than 10 operators.
Women with children- Im extra pissed at them- it is their responsibility to protect their children. I am armed and well trained because i am a mother and a grandma. Im a door kicker because i can. There is no reason you cant too. This dood clearly was an operator. I smell antifa.
People are training to kill you. Shouldnt you be training to defend yerself and yer family?

I'm not questioning your wonder woman abilities, but I would like to learn more about the scenario of this shooting.

What was the time from first shot to last??

Capacity of the shooter's mag(s)??

Was he stationary waiting for victims...or constantly moving??

Response time for LE??

You comment on legal open carry....was the asshole even questioned walking through the parking lot with a weapon before the 1st shot??

Sadly, an ambush is an ambush and all the training in the world can't protect you.

Look up the two Las Vegas Metro cops massacred while eating lunch as an example.

The route 91 shooting was a cluster fuck (different logistics, I know) but could you imagine 10, 20, 30 people pulling out a weapon in "self defense?"

So shit hits the fan like today and we have the right to protect etc........how do others with those same rights, including LE, figure out the good guys from the bad guys???

The scene from Columbine always freaked me out......the cops were marching the kids out of the school with their hands up.

The authorities had no clue who the bad guys were minutes after the shooting.

Absolutely wish somebody would have ended this coward's life. If he actually surrendered when the cops got there, the restraint the cops used was superhuman.
One little twitch and he should have been ventilated.

IDK, armchair/ Monday morning QBing is easy as fuck.

Random terror... talk to the IRA aboot it...
That would be assuming it was some sort of organized attack.

This guy just wanted max kills without a large threat of being taken out, no matter what he says he was going to do.
He wanted a high score just like any of us is programmed to work toward in our genes.
Be the first to the egg, then score as much of whatever one gets focused on for the win...

Each and every one of these mass murderers is broken in thought and spirit.
They lash outward at others with blame and violence...
...instead of looking inward for corrections/solutions to their own broken thinking.

It's always going to be a problem as long as mankind exists.
There is no this side or the other side is more so or totally at fault.
It's all of us.
Each and every one of us has the capacity to do the worst.
The question becomes:
How do we equip the young with the proper tools for dealing with emotional issues so, they don't become overloaded at some point and break?

I know how I came to peace in my life and it wasn't easy.
I was a hard headed motherfucker.

The answer isn't more control over others...
...it's more self-control over ourselves.

Teach that and Cause and Effect from early on and stick to it no matter how much you might worry about little Johnny's or Suzie's unbridled spirit/feelings.

i feel there is more than a common thread running here...

these are not lone wolves but triggered SSRI drug abusers and or mind controlled subjects...

i dont buy the multiple gun shot echos excuse... and that other operators were not on hand...

Initial police calls reporting multiple shooters dressed in black shooting at will.
Then... That changed to one shooter who witnesses said, appeared drugged out.

It's unfortunate that we continue to see all forms of human thought played out in the real where as once long ago it would have just been a nightmare or a rated R movie.

The Judgement of others. The Victimized Blame and Criminal Motive -- Labels of Crazy or Conspiracy -- Bigotry, Racism or Patriotism.

It's all there laid out through manifestation of evil portrayed by actors of our own making. The story has been written, produced and now watched, sold and reviewed by every one of us.

If we could just get to a place where everyone could/would become self-aware.
I get the idea that we're edging that way but, it's moving as slowly as per normal.

Another thing I notice is that a lot of what the guy said could be agreed with were it not for the fact that he killed a shit load of people.
But, the ramifications of his actions are that it now all becomes fodder of hate.

When, in fact, the immigration argument is a REAL argument.
The numbers are real and it's a real fact that our population demographic and ideals are changing based on that immigration.

Is the STATEMENT that our population is changing racist? Can we not have ANY conversation based on demographics since geography itself has a color type orientation and therefore inaccessible in conversation?
Is it that he killed therefor ALL debate surrounding the reason becomes mute?

Muslim, or White guy -- the conversations they talk about matters to none?

It's incredible that we don't have a system in place to deal with kids/people with problems like this already.

A pretty good discussion so far in this discussion and I find a lot of common ground in what's being brought up.

It is pretty long so it'll be in bits and pieces as I have time to listen to it all:

I dunno dude, you're essentially advocating for continued white supremacy via xenophobia.

I'll hear you out though. How is what you're describing different?

I don't know... I'm not sure I can articulate the issue without being exactly that.

It's a reasoning that seems selfish and yet justifiable. A need to protect that which is defined as my own. A past society that I'm comfortable with and yet a future that's undeniably changing.
Conservatism lacks the ability to see speedy progress where it concerns societal change.

It's the meme of patriotism to protect a way of life and yet the conundrum of it all is that we need to protect the basic freedoms endowed, as well.
The resistance of governmental tyranny and the need to defend against a changing society walk hand in hand.

It is that tangible xenophobia creating an emotional barrier because we see the future governmental tyranny that is tied to failures of society across the globe.
The need to protect that little patch of green grass, so no other dogs shit on it. Doing so, by admitting only those people that think like us instead of rolling the dice and hoping more than 50% do.

why is immigration such a problem now, when it is at the lowest level in decades?

but having said that, your country was built by immigrants

Because, we already have enough people here. And the fuckers that come here now want us to change and accept their bullshit religion and lifestyles. Whereas before, the immigrants assimilated and became Americans, adapted to our bullshit religions and lifestyles... mostly, not 100% but close enough.

Our country was built on a controlled assimilation of immigrants. It's a problem increasing now due the decrease in births of the primary inhibitor.
There WAS no welfare by tax to support this type of immigration.
There IS no so-called "white supremacy" to keep it in check.

World Wars circumventing mass migration of once enslaved people don't happen anymore.

Northern Europe is swallowing Africa's poor and seeing it's wealth and prosperity decline.
Likewise South American Socialism's ideals and it's outcome migrate through birth rates unchecked into the belly of northern America.

as far as religions are concerned, pretty much all the immigrants crossing the southern border are catholic. in other words Christian.

but looking at them bringing their lifestyles, they have also become part of your country. you eat pizza, drink budweiser, celebrate paddy´s day, eat sushi, happily munch on bratwurst whilst watching baseball or rugby, incorpórate parts of other languages in your everyday parlance….....it´s all come in with immigrants.

it´s what comes of being a nation of immigrants.

We're not talking aboot Mexicans, most are hard workers, but there are just so many of them. We're mostly talking aboot the other immigrants.

If Messicans ( I'll pick them as they are the quickest growing demographic) were to uphold the constitution, whats the issue? Or is there no issue?
