I got into the bad habit of putting the Air Fryer on top of the oven, because that's the spot with the best capability to exhaust to the outside.
Guess I got distracted this time because I must have shoved it back far enough on the oven top that it turned one of the dials on. :biting:

RIP Mom's old 2.75 quart GoWiseUSA.

Thinking about buying this Air Fryer from Instant to replace it because I don't have a Toaster Oven.
It has a rotisserie basket to keep fries or chicken wings rolling around to cook better.
I like that feature because I've taken to air frying sweet potato fries lately and hate having to stop halfway through cooking just to shake the basket.
Sweet potato fries drenched in chicken wing sauce is emoji amazing. :billetman::chef::tabasco:
It seems to have good reviews, if you get one of the units that doesn't have a chemical smell to it.

The Cosori below has great reviews and is the same price, but has no rotisserie basket or oven features.

Looks like it only melted the case/plastic bottom a bit. Does it still work other than not sitting perfectly level?

That's a bad-ass piece of kitchen hardware.
Now I'm looking at yours and this one too.
Yours seems to be a Costco special and I didn't see it on Amazon.

I thought about that too.
When I looked at it earlier, there was one wire pretty close to the damage but it looked okay.
I bet it would still work. But it's small and I've been waiting for an excuse to upgrade anyhow.
Maybe I cooked my Air Fryer on purpose. Subconciously of course.

I only ask because I did this to a cutting board about 15 years and two houses ago. :ducmanic:

Other side is still fine........

Aboot five years ago, I broke the glass top stove in the kitchen. We were going to get a new one anyway, just upped the tyme table a few months.
I'd like to get an induction one, they claim it will boil water in 30 seconds! Even a minute would be good.

I went to a fire call once where a house guest had turned on the oven to preheat, but she didn't know the homeowner stored all her tupperware shit in the oven, because she didn't bake. :D

Worst smell ever, and that oven was fucked! Fire dept. carried the whole thing out onto the lawn.

I think every household in the USA has at least one of these.

I scratched up my glasstop while trying to clean it. Not real bad, but it's noticeable if you're looking.
I briefly researched new tops and they are expensive, but there are DIY videos on how to do the swap.

So what was the carnage to the stove?
Nada! Glass-top. I let the melted plastic cool off and then scraped it off.
Which takes forever to heat up but I'm a messy cooker and like how easy it is to clean.

All the cookware has to be an electrically conductive material. Glassware doesnt work.
Not according to this awesome plus-sized gal who has a ton of great videos:

Some of you could use an induction cooktop...

I'm not allowed in the kitchen, but my cook (wife) swears by induction. I like it because the cooktop never gets hot. You can boil water in a saucepan and not melt a piece of ice sitting on the cooktop next to it.

I think you are right, Paul.
So I went with the Cosi.
I got the WiFi version because it was the same price.
Who knows, maybe I will find WiFi useful somehow.

I had a moment of remorse about spending a bunch of cash, so I plugged it in and tried it.
Nope. It was as dead as @Terry_Schiavos sex life when Hagrid isn't around.

Kinda glad it was dead because I might have kept it if it worked and it might have someday burned the house down due to possible heat damage inside it. Who knows what circuitry melted inside that I wasn't able to see.

Air fried broccoli is pretty darn amazing.
I had no idea fresh broccoli could taste this good.
I ate it all before I even touched the rice or chicken on my plate.

Mix the broccoli in olive oil and seasoning.
Air fry it for 4 minutes at 400 degrees.
The broccoli tips come out crispy as fuck.

I tried to duplicate the broccoli magic tonight with frozen asparagus.
It was disgusting. Not just the taste but also the texture.
I'm pretty sure I cooked it wrong? 385* for about five minutes.
But the taste was nasty also.
I'll try some fresh asparagus next time.

Any of these? This is what my HEB grocery store offers.
I've never heard of the stuff before but will give it a try!

This is my current air fryer after I sent the Cosori back.

It's just a little bit larger, so bacon fits better.
The buttons and dial are 1000x better than the Cosori soft buttons.
The way you adjust temp & time is 1000x better as well.
But the interface/firmware sucks. Maybe a little worse than the Cosori.
The Cosori basket was smaller but worked better/was easier to remove food from.
I'm pretty sure I'll be upgrading again in a year or two to something with a better interface.

Why did you return the Cosori... mine is flawless.

You are learning like I did not all things are good in an air fryer.. that the reason you have a insta pot, cast Iron pans, as well as a good assortment of pots pans steamers and rice makers. It's is a nice kitchen tool but not the end all of replacing every kitchen appliance or cookware.

Frozen chicken breast in the instant pot are the real deal, especially Hawaiian style🍍
