As of yesterday .....and I'm in the tier one group:

"Employee COVID Vaccination update

Good Evening,

(REDACTED) have received their allotments of the COVID-19 vaccine and will begin the process of vaccinating employees tomorrow morning. The daily allotments of the vaccine are tightly controlled and monitored, so each employee wishing to receive a vaccination will be individually scheduled. Many of you have already been contacted and scheduled. Everyone else that responded to the sign-up survey that was sent out and has not yet been scheduled will be contacted over the next 2 days to set up their appointment. Please make sure you answer you phones over the next few days to help lessen the difficulty in contacting you to schedule your vaccination.

If you did not sign up for the vaccine, but now wish to receive it please respond to this email.

Notes on Vaccine Eligibility

  • You will be receiving the Moderna Vaccine.
  • You must be available 28 days after administration of the 1st shot for the 2nd dose.
  • If you have had a positive COVID test within the last 90 days it is not recommended that you receive the vaccination.
  • If you have had a Flu shot in the last 10 days it is not recommended that you receive the vaccine.
The vaccination process should take 30-45 minutes to complete the registration and mandatory 15-minute observation period after receiving the shot. Please be on time for you scheduled appointment.

Potential side effects of the vaccine may include fever, fatigue, and body aches among other flu-like........"

deaths are strictly dependant on strain of covid and how well your body is able to combat it.
I would think deaths are far more dependent on how old you are
If you're under 65, you're more likely to win lotto than die from it. Over 65. distant chance. Over 75, tiny chance. Over 85, small chance.

Not even close

Mega millions chance of winning one in 326 million
Number of people in US = 328 million. Since more than 2 people under the age of 65 have died of covid, chances are much greater than winning the lotto

This shit has a mind of its own. One day I feel good and then the next it’s like it resets and starts all over. We can now add dry mouth and sore throat to the list of symptoms. On top of fever, couch, shortness of breath and some wicked body aches (mainly lower back).

Last night was difficult as I only got about 2 hours of sleep. Hard to sleep when you can’t breathe (congestion) and you can’t get comfortable because of lower back. My Garmin says I slept two hours but I think it was closer to 3-4 but it was not restful at all as I was up every 30-60 minutes.

The two pictures below are from my Garmin and show my stress level yesterday versus New Years Eve which was the last day with zero symptoms. I almost always have a stress level every day of mid 20s which is based on exercise/movement and sleep. It’s all calculated via activity versus heart rate. All the orange is stress, blue is rest and gray is activity

CVS was booked solid for the next week. So I just went to the VA as I wasn’t going to get results back from either in over a week

I dont get the point of waiting 5 or 7 days? The local health dept doesnt have testing? This is a pandemic... whats actually hurting people is delayed treatment.

I told the VA what’s the point in getting tested if the results take so long?
I’ll never go back to VA for anything or use any type of veterans stuff. As an organization, it’s been my experience that they are worthy of staying away from. Free and worth every penny. Besides, I did my time, I got paid, I got out. I expect nothing from them. Just my personal take.
Get well Stites. I’m feeling worse than a couple days ago but all I have to do is think of those grunts on the ground in frozen Korea watching people drop, lose limbs to frostbite and starvation and I ask myself why my pussy hurts so bad. It’s all a matter of perspective. I’m fine til the end.

I love the VA and have had many surgeries and they always take good care of me.

What are you doing for treatment? Acetaminophen seems to be helping the most

It's all about the Benjamins.....

3-5 day turnaround here.......did 1200 a day drive up at the casinos. Worked it a few times....National Guard assisted, or vice-versa.

Buddy's wife's test taken Wednesday at the urgent care....she got the + on Monday, but they knew.

I got the cushy gig doing the UFC fighters/crew on Tuesday and Saturday mornings for that night's event (challenger series I think it was called)

Everyone was quarantined at the hotel after the test. Health dept. picked up the kits and results almost immediately.

I have had over 20 covid tests all from Kaiser. I go in at 8am and have the results by noon. I know quite a few people who have had the virus and some just have a little discomfort and a few have died.

My normal vitamins, little Nyquil before bed and a shot of Jack here and there. Getting as much rest as I can force on myself. I’ll be at work Monday unless I’m a danger to someone else. The world ain’t slowin up for me and since I’m out to kick it’s ass, I can’t let it get too far ahead. Chin up motherfuckers! I’m coming!

Test results came back as Covid Negative. Still running a fever and a sore throat. Good luck guys. That .04 fatality rate is terrifying
I would be lying to you if I told you I didn’t have a few moments yesterday where I was having trouble breathing and it was starting to scare me

Its funny... back in the day we'd all get sick here and there and even some times roll the cover over the heads and wish for death. Now the media has us all hyped up and we're scared this is the big one.

It's a scary and powerful thing to let your mind get the best of you.
Try not to dwell on it too much - you guys ain't going anywhere - at least right now.

Every day I wake up, it's like Christmas and I'm happy about it.
Makes the rest of the day so much easier to tolerate...

...without too much murder and mayhem being contemplated.

Couldn’t agree with you more, but I really was struggling to breathe yesterday. Couple with the fact that my wife does 30-40 death certificates a day for the hospital she works for and almost all are COVID deaths, my mind might of got the best of me.

It’s also worth mentioning that after a week of feeling like shit my mental tenacity was starting to diminish.

Started to feel better yesterday at 3 ish and have been doing good ever since. Even slept a fair amount last night

Worst parts of COVID besides not being able to breathe is laying here in bed staring out the bedroom window knowing there’s these beautiful blue skies, almost 50 degree weather and I can’t go ride the dirt bike.
