How good of a friend am I Scott?
The one I posted was the new 3in version they announced last week. I got mine a few days ago.Local shop was asking $1699 for a new Python. Seems a bit steep to me...

I think they weren't a hit cuz they were $1000, 20 years ago. I wish I'd bought a used one ten years ago when you could still find one for around $1500. I've shot a couple of them and they were fine shooters. Great trigger. Only serious issue is they get hot, really quickly.So last night, I watched a Forgotten Weapons video on the old HK P7 series. I got to thinking, that P7 M13 looks pretty interesting, maybe I'll look for a used one to pick up.
They're weird, 20+ years old and weren't a big hit, maybe the price is reasonable... Turns out a gold Desert Eagle would be cheaper.![]()
The M8s aren't any cheaper, either.
Christ. That's Bren 10 money. Fuck that.So last night, I watched a Forgotten Weapons video on the old HK P7 series. I got to thinking, that P7 M13 looks pretty interesting, maybe I'll look for a used one to pick up.

Anybody have one? Or any P7? Really cool how they function.

380 & 9 are the same diameter.Don't see the need for a round between .380 and 9mm...![]()
Living life like a baller !!10mm testing this morning. Went very well. They are flying at over 1,100 FPS.

For me, I'm not de-escalating anything. If I need to point my gun at you, I need to shoot you.One thing I did NOT like about any of the P7 series - when you eased up your grip and decocked the gun, that click is LOUD. Loud enough that someone might think you're cocking/making ready to fire and your situation just escalated when you're de-escalating.
So how do compensate for your marksmanship?If I need to point my gun at you, I need to shoot you.
.380 = .380"380 & 9 are the same diameter.
Yes. Both are .355 diameter bullets..380 = .380"
9mm = 9/25.4 = .354"
Unless a.380 isn't .380??
And a .38 special is really .357 in diameter.Yes. Both are .355 diameter bullets.
One case is 9x17 the other is 9x19.
What does that front lever do? Safety?I've had this p7m8 since around 1993. It was given to me by a student in a scuba class I was teaching. His wife didn't like guns.
The m13 is a fat grip. Huge. The reason these never got super popular is their cost and the expensive mags. Plus they got a reputation of being unsafe since Connecticut troopers were issued them and had a habit of shooting themselves on the draw. They also get quite hot on sustained shooting. But it is an excellent shooting gun. I liked the idea of carrying it nectar if you lost it to an attacker they likely wouldn't be able to fire it immediately.

The mag release is the lever below the trigger. The lever on the front of the grip frame cocks the gun when it's squeezed. When pressure is released it uncocks the gun.What does that front lever do? Safety?
Yes, but one is in a shorter casing and has a smaller bullet in weight and length. The .380 is also known as the 9mm Corto, 9mm Kurtz, and 9mm Browning Short.380 & 9 are the same diameter.
^^^ What he said.Yes. Both are .355 diameter bullets.
One case is 9x17 the other is 9x19.
The first versions had a heel magazine release that blended much better, that mag release was basically added for Americans that don't like heel releases. That;s why it looks like an afterthought.What does that front lever do? Safety?
So why don't they call at least one of them 355?Yes. Both are .355 diameter bullets.
One case is 9x17 the other is 9x19.
Because some can't derive .355?So why don't they call at least one of them 355?
Father-in-law had a Sako chambered in 264 Win Mag. I bought 10 boxes of Remington 140gr Soft Point for him...when it became available. Legacy calibers like the 264, Remington literally drags out the dies, etc. and manufactures X amount during a production run for the calendar year.Local farm store had 2 CASES of 264 Win Mag 140 gr Remington. How is it that Remington decided to retool for some 264 WM just to spit out a few pallets.
It is $75 a box and I have one, but I didn't bite.. Hoping they will put it on clearance after a few months of not selling any so I can snatch it up.
Maybe this will helpDo any of you know the laws on carrying in your car when passing through OK, AR, MS, MO, TN, KY??
I appreciate that, but it seems to only address those with a carry permit. Permits are not required in New Mexico for open-carry or for in your car.Maybe this will help

Time to toss the CT-70 up on the work bench and get it running.

Are they going to make a 45LC/454?Just a FYI anyone who is thinking about or has made reservations/bought a pass to SHOT in LV might think twice about getting on the plane. Going to be a pretty empty place with all of the last-minute cancellations taking place.
Something new to look at. View attachment 88860
Yes but not this year...Are they going to make a 45LC/454?
Don Knotts?This was my 25 yard bullseye target from today. I wish I could keep them all on the target.
