The most hilarious part is that Biden has commissioned a report on how the gun industry targets markets toward children. Ya know, like those fruit flavored lowers and Barbie Nerf guns. Da fuq outta here!

If they're worried about marketing guns to children, maybe they should turn on a television, go to a movie, or boot up a video game. I could be wrong but I don't see a lot of gun manufacturers advertising on MSNBC, or Fox, or anywhere else beyond a firearms or hunting focused website. Do they pay for product placement in media? Maybe? "Mine says point five o, Desert Eagle" . . . :) and shit like that? Are they pissed at Eddie the Eagle promoting gun safety to kids? The horror!

What the actual fuck is wrong with people?

I went and picked up my gun today along with a bunch of ammo, a cleaning kit, and some metal targets to shoot at out in the desert. I stopped by Harbor Freight and got a couple ammo boxes and then headed over to the range to try out the new gun.

It shoots great, a lot better than the range rental ones I was shooting. I was able to get pretty consistent with it after a few rounds and it seemed to be shooting low/left so I adjusted the sights and shot a few more rounds and it seemed to be pretty spot on. After that the holes weren't consistently one way or the other and I could group pretty tight at 7yds.

It was nice to use my own gun and start to work on consistency in everything I'm doing.

I really like my new Buck Mark and enjoy shooting at the range. Shooting at 25 yards is really challenging especially one handed and I enjoy that very much.

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good book on this type of shooting? Like 25 yard slow fire sounds like something I might want to do and I'd like to read something about technique so I don't develop bad habits.

I'm looking for the Twist of the Wrist for shooting :) Something that goes through the basics.

Pic of my gun for attention :)

You have no tact :) But yeah that guy was wound a little tight.
Here's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

The kid next to me was hitting my target, with his shots.

I kindly and gently informed his friend that due to the geometry or trigonometry (or gynecology) of his shots, they were impacting my target. The fact that the kid was severely disabled (the shooter), didn't enter into the equation.

The friend (non shooter) didn't respond well, so I walked away. It wasn't worth killing him over.

Stu stepped in and told him THE EXACT SAME FUCKING THING, and the guy was all smiles.

I was thinking of hitting the hanger for his target (to get it to fall to the ground) but they left.

You meet all kinds of people at a public shooting range. I prefer private ranges.

I was at an outdoor, unregulated range in Oregon once, shooting at a target I'd set up at about 200 yards, and I notice some holes appearing in it and I realize the 4 Mexicans down at the end (I'm in the middle of the firing line, such as it was) are popping off at it with their AKs.

So, in my tactful way, I yell "would you mind not shooting at my fucking target???"

They stopped.

Was that the sort of tact you used?

Exactly---why I do not shoot at ranges unless it is a competition, then it is very structured, and the rules are absolute. No idiots to have to deal with.

Yeah, there were some guys a couple lanes down from us that rented some sort of giant hand cannon. One of the range masters had to have a little safety talk about where they were pointing the gun.

It was pretty busy at the range yesterday so the chances of getting some characters was a bit higher. I haven't had any issues there before yesterday.

I think the guy that was hitting YSR's target didn't realise why. The target hangers have a left and right clip and he had his target hung on the left clip and shooting and 7yds. We were in the lane to his left and shooting at 25yds. So even when he hit his target his shot could still hit ours because of the slight angel he was shooting at.

I explained this to him and suggested he move his target to the other (right) clip. He did so and all was well.

YSR basically told him "stop shooting my fucking target" :)

Yeah, I was being nice because of his disability.
You want a killer short bbl. 7 shot 357? Know where you can buy this one including a Del-Fatti leather black shark holster made for it! Also has another set of fitted custom grips in Zebra wood to go with the Olive ones in the story's pic. Has a two-page build sheet and several signed with a note by the articles author.

Checked out the Del-Fatti website. I felt like it was 1998 all over again. That aside, that's some real nice shit. I went right for the shoulder rig. Looks super nice, but also like it would print through a light jacket or shirt. I like my Miami Classic, but I'm super tempted to check out one of those Del Fatti rigs.

Del Fatti has a 6-year waiting list. Also, his stuff is crazy E$pensive. They cost more than double than the Kramer MSP Shark holsters I like to use.

^^^^^^^^^ Vintage baby!! Been awhile since I have seen a scope like that in use!
Marlin/Glenfield mod 25 and matching Glenfield scope, I’ve owned it since the early 70’s. Matching Glenfield 4 x 1.5, Japanese optics. It’s been hanging in my shop for the last 30 yrs, varmint gun, I used to soak it with WD every couple years to keep it nice 😊, brought it inside, showed it some love and it will be my grandson’s first rifle.

I will wager that it will still shoot very well.. The old Marlins do nicely with the micro grove rifling. I have one in 22 mag that is from the 60's and shoots dots!
