Caught a few seconds of the return burn, that shit is cool. Would have been a good night to watch from the beach. By the way, the Space X feed seems to be aboot 45~60 delayed. So if you ever want to see a return burn, look for it around five minutes after the actual launch. Don't base your tyme on the Space X feed.

Yeah, I'm aboot 150 or so miles closer. I need to get to the cape sometyme for a close up launch.
Also, it takes almost four minutes for the sound to hit where I live. The other cool thing is, the northern horizon light ups before you can see the rocket.

def want to take kids to a launch in person for sure!
I'm waiting for the moon rocket, that will be the one to see. Supposed to be the most powerful ever built. Olde timers tell me of the Apollo Moon rockets, they say they were monsters. The new one is more monster.

they already launched the artemis rocket a few weeks/months back. it was much brighter for sure!

the big spaceX starship should be incredible, but it will only launch in texas I believe.
Yeah, Texas, but one should make it here eventually.
The Space Shuttle's were a good show.

I would only watch my neighbor shoot off fireworks if I thought someone was gonna put an eye out or lose a finger. If I'm gonna watch a rocket launch (AKA someone shooting off taxpayer paid fireworks), I wanna see it explode and go off in 3 different directions ALA krista mcauliff style... or it's just not worth it.
