The DOJ is saying ‘you want a special master, fine, but the classified and TS/SCI documents do not contain privileged information, so we want them excluded’.

team trump have not got an answer to this, and it leaves cannon on shakey ground if she doesn’t allow them to be excluded.....because there is no reason not to.

A less-redacted version of the affidavit used for the MAL search warrant was just released- it sounds like at least one lawyer is trying to avoid that bus undercarriage- he said there was no notification that documents remained at MAL when a sworn statement was sent to the DOJ back in June saying that all records had been removed (the DOJ was allowed in the storage room and saw the boxes where the documents were eventually found, but, at that time, were refused the request to look inside them):

They bagged him at Hardee's. I didn't even know that place still existed (and there are ~1800 of them 🤷‍♂️ ).

The court ruled in favor (all three judges agreed- one was appointed by Obama and two by Trump) of the DOJ on their appeal, allowing them to access and review the ~100 classified documents without having to wait until they're cleared by the Special Master (the remaining shitload of docs and whatever else was taken- which the DOJ didn't include their appeal- will continue to be reviewed by the SM).

The general consensus (by legal analysts on both sides) was that Judge Cannon's original ruling on the Special Master should never have pertained to the classified docs, which were obviously US government property, and the Appeals Court agreed:

Trump has to be kicking himself for picking this Dearie guy as Special Master- he (and his team) are being called out for claims they made that the DOJ may have planted evidence (Dearie wants sworn statements)- between that and asking for proof of declassification, Dearie is acting more like Garland's choice:

The special master assigned to review the documents taken during the August search of Mar-a-Lago is asking former President Trump to back up his claim that the FBI planted evidence on his Florida property.

Judge Raymond Dearie, the special master selected after being [p]ut forth by Trump, told his attorneys they would need to submit a sworn declaration that details “a list of any specific items set forth in the [FBI’s] detailed property inventory that plaintiff asserts were not seized from the premises.”

Without exception, citizens of the U.S. are to be considered equal under the law. If 1% of the crimes Turnip stands accused of are valid, he should be indicted and tried by a jury of his peers. Just like the rest of us.

Fuck a bunch of fawning.

Fuck a bunch of, ...lessor of two evils...

Fuck a bunch of exonerated excuses that someone else did it too.

Vote for integrity, honesty, and ability.

We need to return to a merit based society, and elect qualified, exceptional candidates.

Rhino, jail the swine and elect the competent. As the electorate we have that power.
How about some conditions?.....

1 - must be fully conversant with the constitution.

2 - before entering office, all assets must be handed to a 3rd party to be held in a blind trust, with no exceptions. A current cash and checking account to be opened for their everyday living expenses, and their salary paid into that account.

3 - a full financial declaration to be made before entering office of all cash and assets, held by them and their family, and a declaration made annually of the same, to be made public and easily available. Failure to do so at the start of the financial year results in immediate removal from office with no exceptions.

4 - all gifts, trips, tickets to cultural and sporting event, etc, given to them and their family to be included in annual declarations, complete with from who and what company/corporation they represent.

5 - if gifts, trips, tickets to sporting/cultural events are accepted and those making the gifts would be affected by legislation the member would vote on, that member is excluded from voting due to conflict of interest.

6 - any member found to be taking backhanders of the type described above without declaring them on their annual declaration, be immediately removed from their position, with no exceptions.

Just a start......it’d help to stop skanking gits taking office as a get rich quick scheme.

If you have additional ideas, let’s hear em.

😎😉

The DOJ seems to be working toward that possible end, but it won't happen before the midterms. They just lost access to their most important evidence for two weeks (due to an extremely friendly [to Trump] Trump-appointed judge, whose ruling got bitch-slapped on appeal).

No argument both sides should choose better, but that's on us- the competent, decent people in government are generally boring, and we need that flashy curb appeal (to vote for or against, in Trump's case- I can't say Biden has it, but Trump's behavior- not his governance, so much- is why Sleepy Joe is POTUS).

We demand a circus, so that's what we get, as well as the accompanying candidates that come with it.

Guilty or innocent. He will never be locked in a jail cell, not even for 2 minutes.
He'd crack in 30 minutes of being treated like everyone else.
No hurry. I wish he would announce his candidacy. No chance of that until his problems are paid for by someone else.

Oh, I don't expect him to go to jail (no way), but he may well be indicted before the end of the year.

The guy spent four years intentionally making political enemies because his based loved it and he was sure he'd get a second term- the second term didn't happen, but the enemies remain. They don't want him running again, and seem to have found a legitimate reason to go after him. 🤷‍♂️

The jig is up.

The FBI got Mike Lindell's phone.

You will appreciate the irony- Lindell's lawyers filed a motion to get his phone back and have a Special Master appointed- it was denied, and the court cited the 11th Circuit's ruling in the Trump case as a reason for doing so:
