Bike almost left him behind on the launch,
especially since it has done a 1.39 sec 60 foot time on other occasions.
Tank slapper on the big end at 154 mph, but he remembered what I told him
about gas it, and not brakes till stable.
Bike has run 9.13 sec with stock motor, bar, slick, pipe, and air shifter.

I think it was earlier than 2001, Chris. He took me to Mike Burns' place to get my Copper '99 in January 2000 and I remember he & Clay had already been down in Carlsbad by then. You had that bike set up for the strip pretty quick.

But I am not sure he was his Grandfather. Great-great Uncle, maybe? They looked alike, at the same age.
