not sure how the contract reads but when Im renting a car its just the same as if Im driving my own.
They might charge you a deductible and try to tack on lost income but thats why you have insurance coverage to fight it out. When you buy supplemental coverage... they will still try to file a claim against you on your own insurance. Also your credit card provides coverage as well. However it will trigger an investigation from at least 2 sides... if youre found negligent well then...
