I am satisfied with the fact that getting the jab makes you vulnerable to Omicron. I don't need to vet further. And even if it's proven to YOUR satisfaction that the jab increases your vulnerability to Omicron, it's not like you are going to own the fact that you strenuously argued the wrong side. Your fallback is "I vetted data from established known good sources and just shared with you their findings." Anybody can do that (granted, maybe not as well or as thoroughly or eloquently as you do it).

Many of us here stick our necks out a little further than that, question authority, distrust the MSM, distrust our corrupt federal government, embrace stories that you dismiss is conspiracy theories. And we're correct more often than we ever get credit for, around here...
.
Fine, but you have to fact-check sources no matter what, and I do it even if I like what I'm reading- I don't want to post BS even if it supports my side. 'Questioning' is fine- taking a scatter-shot approach with an, 'I like it- it's true' approach is often going to backfire. Yes, I'm thorough, which is why I'm not easy to call out.

Here, I looked into the second article you posted and found this, where the two authors (psychologists, not scientists) back off from their conclusion- had I planned to post this article, I would have searched this out before doing so:

Authors distance themselves

In the meantime, even the authors distance themselves from how their "note" is used on the Internet. It is "neither a scientific publication nor a well-founded scientific study that meets our own quality standards," says the statement. And: It does not prove "by no means that an increased vaccination rate leads to an increased probability of death. We also do not want it to be misinterpreted as such."

The last sentence of the statement is also interesting. "Incidentally, if you add the now available week 41, the positive correlation we reported last week is almost zero."

Or people have a hard time justifying their specious claims when they're called out on them- you know who doesn't have a hard time? People who can prove they're right and have done the research to back up what they say.

And then there are people who lose their funding or their medical license or their job or their freedom or are de-platformed if they do prove they're right.

Hey man, I'm perfectly happy to leave it at that. You're expecting me to provide unimpeachable sources who provide a narrative counter to the one pushed by the government and big tech. They are hard to find for a reason. We don't have to agree on what that reason is.:up:

Hey- you tossed out the second German article and challenged me over it, and I said I didn't want to vet another one, but you gave me your little :biggrin1a: reaction, which I took as meaning you figured I couldn't do it- well, I did. I don't expect your sources to be 'unimpeachable' (few sources are), but I expect you to have done a minimum of vetting before posting them.

Yeah, maybe it's all a big conspiracy with pressure from 'Big Pharma' shutting these guys down, but, maybe, it's just that they're wrong and their conclusions don't stand up to scrutiny.

So, has all of the proper scientific peer review been done on all the vaccine data and published properly?
That's a very good question- I looked into it a bit as I'm also interested in the answer.

Definitely not if they're released as 'pre-prints'- it can take a while to get peer-reviewed, and it depends on how they're published. Sometimes they stand up to peer-review, and sometimes they don't and are withdrawn. Some researchers are OK with releasing their data on a 'pre-print' basis (meaning they're published on public websites prior to being peer-reviewed, and may not even be completed yet by the authors)- other studies (usually from places like universities) are held back and aren't published until/unless they're positively peer-reviewed. Since many publications have been flooded with Covid research, some have stopped publishing 'pre-prints' to avoid giving publicity to a potentially specious study- this is why many are released on outlier websites as they're not as picky about what they publish as actual medical journals are. That said, there are some publications that only publish research which has been peer-reviewed by at least two different experts in the field on which the research is based (I'll put a link below).

Basically, the answer is 'generally yes', but not necessarily, and a publicly-available study may not have been submitted to a journal or site that requires peer-review prior to publication (in which case it might never be peer-reviewed, and some of these researchers- both pro- and anti-vaccine- are deliberately trying to skew the data [especially, according to one article I read citing a journal that is usually willing to post 'pre-prints', those that rely solely on computational data], and they already know their findings would never stand up to peer-review, so they don't submit it to places that require it)- the information on whether it's been peer-reviewed is readily available, though, and where it's published is a pretty good clue.

Whether you put more faith into peer-reviewed research vs non-peer-reviewed research is another matter entirely. I can certainly see how the process could be manipulated, especially if only a small numbers of peers are cited.

Everyone I know who has Covid right now is fully vaccinated.

I don’t know anyone who is unvaccinated that has it.

coincidence??
There are three people in my immediate family that were unvaccinated and have died in the last three weeks, 39, 48 and 70 yrs of age, 39 yr old was healthy, 48 and 70 yr were both healthy at the time but had underlying issues but healthy immune systems before contracting Covid.

What does that mean, absolutely nothing to someone else, it’s my little world, my personal experience and in no way can be used as a comparison to someone else’s situation. Another funeral today at 6:00 pm, heard mentality is dangerous, for anyone and everyone.

well of course they say that. They dont want to loose their jobs and be blacklisted in the medical community. Their opinions are meaningless. The data is all you can consider, and while not a perfect study (like big pharams EYE ROLL) it will do just fine for drawing interim conclusions

really sorry to hear that. perhaps in 10yrs we will start to know how other factors impact morbidity with this virus

So, has all of the proper scientific peer review been done on all the vaccine data and published properly?
that was yesteryear.. now the people charged with vetting studies are all bought an paid for. If they want to keep their jobs, they find what the govt says they find

the central tenant of science is repeatability. If the theory cant be repeated in another lab by someone else, its invalid.
THEORY
vaccinated people are not protected - repeatable
vaccines are have serious side effects - repeatable
vaccines cause death - repeatable

If that isnt enough to to say, NO THANK YOU! come back when you have more answers, then you are not basing your decision on science.

All you babies who get the sniffles run out and get tested, 3 out of 4 are negative, just hypocondriacs. Every virus that existed still does, still no vax for 'the common cold', buck up buttercups! Vax and relax! :D

i’m curious on the opinions of you guys regarding the fact that they have now change the standard from Covid deaths to death with Covid and death because of Covid. interesting that they’re changing the goal post now that Biden has realized he can’t do anything about this flu

There is no goal post and there never was.

The world's band (political "leaders") kept playing requested songs while everybody else just waited and hoped the life boats got there before it all went under.

Nobody is going to deny that both sides of the aisle change definitions for the sake of political convenience

It’s also evident here where people argue from the perspective of political affiliation vs science

Maher has been hitting solid points lately and is now being savaged by progressives, his traditional allies

But he rightly points out that his position as a classic liberal hasn’t drifted one bit, it’s the progressives who have left him, drifting so far to the left and normalizing radical policy

Second time in three months...

So much for building immunity once you get it.

Good part..

Last night woke up and had some real shallow breaths.

My fix was to sleep in a sitting position so my lungs could drain..

This morning coughed up some wicked phlegm that tasted damn nasty..

Lungs and cough feel better.. headache is still here and feel like doing shit today but I have a lot to do so that won't happen..

That is my First hand NO SCIENCE ...NO MEMES.. NO GOVERMENT ... NO CHINA report.

It's the sinuses draining into your windpipe/lungs.
Sitting up does help it go down your throat more so than down both windpipe and throat.

Then there's the expectorating that our bodies do naturally as we sleep, that deposits the nice cat shit like film we wake up to each morning.

It's worse if you have dairy allergies as the pasty film will be two or three times as thick...

...but, you can hand wallpaper with it.

sleep on your stomach if you can. it will actually increase your blood O2.

try it for a few minutes with a monitor.

for anyone who has Covid and lives alone, I recommend a wearable o2 monitor like this one.

Wellue O2Ring Wearable Sleep...

It connects to your smart phone and can alert you (wake you) if there’s a problem. It also charts your O2 levels so you can see which way you’re headed.

Covid is being used for social control.

many cases of Covid were just the flu. Look at the numbers.

What is the real tally of Covid carnage here at Labusas?

Among people I know (or knew) personally, one was killed by or with Covid, and one was killed by the vaccine. Both were elderly and had co-morbidities. And I know several people who have had a wide range of adverse reactions to the vaccine,

I think we're now worst than california taxes AND the weather sucks too..

Crazy how people will concede their moral principles and freedoms when faced with losing a couple of bucks lol

Having said that...

Seems to me if the gov really wants people vaxxed, offering a tax credit to the vaxxed would be easier to pull off than taxing the unvaxxed...

Too greedy... they don t wanna lose money AND get the last 10% vaxxed..

They also made it harder for the unvaxxed by needing the vax passport to get into tje liquor stores and pharmacies.. also looking to apply this to supermarkets..

If they can't force you to get vaxxed, they ll make your life a living hell...

All this because , supposedly, most of ER bed ridden patients are un vaxxed .. and hospitals are over 100 % capacity..

The real reason is 20 years ago they seriously cut healthcare budgets and rendered the "free" healthcare system to it's knees and now it can't cope with this shit....

This shit fucks with you at night more then the day.

I was feeling some what better today. Then aroundv8 pm I got cold and exhausted .. the cough kicked back in at 10 and likes to wait until your asleep before it starts again.

Went to CVS.. shelves are mainly bare of cold and flue. Got some Day quill pills as that was all that was there.

Something I have not seen here since moving here. A lot of mask use. Up until today there was zero mask use now I say about 60% of the people masked upped.

Slashes COVID Death Rate by 93%, Where's the Media?

STORY AT-A-GLANCE
  • While most well-known as a natural sleep regulator, melatonin also has many other important functions. It boosts immune function, helps recharge glutathione and may improve treatment of certain bacterial diseases; it has anticonvulsant and antiexcitotoxic properties, and is a potent antioxidant with the rare ability to enter your mitochondria
  • In viral infections, melatonin lowers the overreaction of the host cells to the pathogen, thereby raising the host’s tolerance to the virus. This gives the host time to develop the adaptive immune response and eradicate the invading pathogen
  • Melatonin attenuates several pathological features of COVID-19, including excessive oxidative stress and inflammation, exaggerated immune response resulting in a cytokine storm, acute lung injury and acute respiratory distress syndrome
  • An October 2021 study found melatonin significantly lowered mortality when given to severely infected COVID patients. In the standard care only group, 13 of the 76 patients died (17.1%), compared to just one of the 82 patients (1.2%) who received melatonin in addition to standard care — a reduction in mortality of 93%
  • During the second week of infection, a time when severely infected patients can take a drastic turn for the worse, the melatonin group fared much better than the standard care only group, with only two patients developing sepsis, compared to eight in the standard care only group

supreme court just said fuck your mandates!

another win for trump with his court picks...

The vote in the employer mandate case was 6 to 3, with liberal justices in dissent.

although admittedly this all reads that the supreme court simply stated they felt the president did not have the authority to issue such a mandate without congressional approval, not that they actually disagreed with the mandate itself.

thats going to put congress in an awkward position!
