Good morning y'all! It's a great day to be free, white and 21 !!

Got a phone call last night while we were sitting in church. My wife took it since we were in the utmost rear pew, and it was from a lady we tried to pick up before church. She rides with us 3 times a week since she doesn't drive. Turns out she was in jail. 😲

We went and bonded her out. There goes $100 I'll never get back.🙄 My wife had never been to a county jail, never been around a bonds person, never saw the type of people working there and it was an eye opener for her for sure.

She was at a house that the Tri-county Drug Task Force had raided at 4pm, and they took at least 5 people to jail. Wrong place, wrong time deal.

She's an overweight, 58 year old simpleton without a tooth in her head. Her older husband died 15 years ago, and she's barely kept her head above water since then. I think she's on SSI and food stamps. We help her out as best we can.

Ready to go do some shopping now, aw-w-w-w, sweet freedom...Have a Great Day Y'all !!

I know you're no dummy, but this almost sounds like someone working an angle. Sorry to be so cynical, but I've seen the type way too many times. Usually people aren't in a "crib" like that by accident. 😉

They've been raiding places around here for the last 3 weeks, results of a 2 year ongoing investigation into fentanyl and meth sellers. See my earlier post on this...

I actually told my wife on the way to the jail that if she got arrested, it was because toothless gets excited and starts talking fast...and you would swear she was a tweeker.

Sure enough, when I asked he what she was charged with...she said "smoking meth". I asked her where she was when she was arrested, she said on the back porch having a cigarette. I asked if her boyfriend was there, she said "yeah, but he didn't get arrested...". I slightly know Tim, he's a middle aged black guy, very laid back and easy going....well spoken...not excitable.

I asked her if there was a warrant or warrants, she said there weren't any....it was just a response to a party. Yeah, the Tri-county Task Force is not answering calls for the local PD for loud parties. I'm sure there was a general warrant for someone selling meth out of that place at some time in the last year...it wasn't a "house"...it's a brick twinplex sitting in a field of them in the projects.

I'll never get the low down on all this unless I talk to someone from the task force, maybe I'll bump into someone when I take toothless to court next Wednesday morning.

It sounds like one of those things where the bottom line is you did what you thought was right, and something you can live with. What you and your wife did was just being kind, trying to help someone. If it turns out that the lady you guys helped was lying to you, that's on her, she has to live with it, and you probably won't be springing her from jail or helping her much in the future because of it.

You're a decent guy Dan, WTF are you doing here!?!?!?!?! lol :biggrin1a:

Sierra’s on an average winter get 30ft or 360 inches. So far this winter we have already gotten 360 inches with them taking there final measurements on April 1st as that is typically when things are at their peak and they can get an idea of how much water is stored in the mountains via snow pack. Currently the south, central and northern Sierra mountain range is averaging over 200% on snowfall for this time of year. Southern has the most at 255%

I love winters here, but I am ready for some sun, tacky dirt and my mountain single track back.

Mammoth is over 400 inches of snow at the lodge this season and over 500 inches of snow at the summit. Those numbers will be going up in a day or so as they just got a big storm this past weekend

Yes, breaking it in, been practicing with the old tire. Fuck YouTubing it though 😆. Only assholes like me would watch shit like that!

The machine works great, dirt bike tires suck. Going to install a rim lock, new tube and new "even stiffer" tire here in a bit. Should be interesting, and by interesting I mean pain in the ass. It's new territory for me, but I'm learning something that applies to 2 of my favorite things, bikes and wrenching in the shop.
