Hell yeah, just copy & paste right into the post, straight from web links or paint or whatever.
I love that about Xenforo.
Folks, I added a new user theme specifically for mobile device users (Android/iPhone/tablets/etc).
Just load up the board on your phone.
Then at the very bottom/left corner of the page, you can click the paint-brush to switch from the default "GoBig" theme and select "Mobile Devices" instead.
Larger font sizes, easier to read on a tiny screen.
It's also nice for regular sized monitors if you just want larger text.
I guess I went to bed before testing far enough to discover it wasn't 100%.
I enabled cannonical in the forum software.
Added the "s" to the board URL in the forum software (didn't think to do that).
And added Dameon's htaccess edit.
Did all three things at the same time, and so far, so good.
Haven't checked all pages yet though. Let me know if you find anything wrong.
It shows fully secure in this thread, but not others.
In fact, on the main forum page, it has a padlock. As soon as I hover the mouse over the link to go into ducmanic picture post (and others) it turns into the exclamation mark before I even click it, since it pulls up a photo preview.
I see, yeah that was mega helpful.
It seems to be related to images posted using 3rd party links.
Such as this one.
I suspect this thread will now indicate an "i" (informational) icon instead of "lock" icon.
Yep, that did it. It's an HTTP URL for the pic.
When I posted this same pic (since removed) on Xenforo.com, their forum masked the URL and assigned it a new HTTPS Xenforo.com URL.
I'll put that on the bucket-list of things to figure out how to do!
Good grief, I finally got past a huge stumbling block that's stumped me for the last few hours.
Turns out main.cf might look like master.cf but they're really two different files.
Fuck, I need better glasses and to pay more attention.
Moving on now that that part is finally working.
I just edited the CSS on the normal GoBig theme and made it "adaptive screen size" for typography.
So if you go back to that theme, it should now display normally on our large monitors.
And then text should increase in size as your screen-size gets smaller.
Looks great on my 6.2" phone screen.
Hopefully it'll work nicely on EVERYONE's screens, regardless of phone, tablet or TV, etc.
The Mobile Devices theme is still available and makes the font "heavier" which IMO, makes it slightly more easy to read on small phones.
But it won't be necessary for most folks.
I guess it's an add-on that provides easy to use tags to embed more media from many more sites. I'm sure you've seen in news sites tweets and instagram posts embedded into the news site itself, this add-on is a simple way to do it instead of manually going in and adding it for every site.
If anyone else wants to recommend a plug-in for the board, you'll find them at this link.
Some are free. Some cost $.
If it costs money then you'll have to pay for it yourself or organize a fundraiser for the collective to indicate their financial support. hahah
How about the 'terms and rules' statement, specifically this:

So...this is still labusas, right?
Then there's this...
