Funny little thing. Can't see those tires handling worth a shit. Probably get a few tank slappers on the trail!?

I have a friend that owns a Yamaha dealership..
    '

When I was looking for a winter ride I looked into that bike...

He sent me to get he DR 400 or 650... He said they are crap and only good for old folks that want to go get bread in their development.

I've ridden the TW200. Very slow (top speed of 55-60), but also very stable compared to skinny tired, small displacement dual-sports. It will not out perform anything off road, but it will get places that many other bikes cannot because the fat tires allow for much better traction on muddy/slippery surface. It is a great bike for those who want to go off road, but don't care to ride quickly...kinda' like a dirt bike cruiser, I suppose. I'd buy one if I could own lots of bikes, but not as a replacement for a true dual sport.

    Yeah, fatcats suck.

But we used the TW200s back in '89 for teaching during MSF courses. They're so easy to ride, we called them "cheater bikes".

Like skyfroggy said, a TW200 will get you there offroad, just not quickly.
(But faster and safer than a fatcat.)

Hey, I just remembered something...a fatcat is a 200cc bike.

Yamaha made two sizes, a BW200 and a BW350. Double scary...

You should get a TW200 and motard it like my friend Doug did.

He rode the thing 25,000 miles in 18 months, then got a KLR650 that he thinks is a rocket ship.
THAT'S JUST THE WAY IT IS!!
DO I LOOK LIKE A FUKKEN HISTORIAN OR SOMETHING?

My brother and his wife have a few TW200s they use in their MSF course. We spent several hours on his property tearing shit up, doing wheelies and crashing... giggling out loud the whole time... fat tires and everything, lol.

    Suzuki had the little fat-tired RV90 & RV125 "Van-Van"

Yamaha also had the BW "Big Wheel" as mentioned earlier
