    7 deaths now.. 23.4 inches of rain.. not as bad as Texas has seen but it's not nearly over. 10 to 12 inches expected today.

    I'm a little ways north-east of Charlotte, NOAA is projecting ten-to-fifteen inches of rainfall here... it's been ramping up for the past several hours. Wind steady, don't have a means to measure but I'd guess 25 - 30 with higher gusts.

    Lit up the chainsaws with fresh gas last night, lots of water set by... we're as ready as could be.
